'Beyond Form: Lines of Abstraction, 1950 - 1970' is a major new exhibition which connects the work of over 50 women from across the globe through a shared language of radical abstraction.

This retrospective solo exhibition showcases works from throughout Ilona Keserü's career, spanning nearly seven decades. In the face of political and cultural adversity, the artist's organic style of abstraction developed in defiance of Soviet rule following the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Her distinctive approach combines modern abstraction with references to Hungarian folk culture and historic European imagery.

The first major exhibition of Hungarian abstract art in Korea, ‘Folded – Unfolded’ presents abstract painting by Hungarian artists from the 1960s and the 1970s. Taking place alongside Frieze Seoul 2022 and Kiaf (Korean International Art Fair) Seoul 2022, the group exhibition draws upon the recently established collection of the Central Bank of Hungary and represents a broad range of techniques and materials.

Ilona Keserü features in the group exhibition ‘Tracing the Fragments’, co-presented by K11 Art Foundation, Shanghai and Q Contemporary, Budapest.
