This year's Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy is co-ordinated by British painter David Remfry RA.

We are delighted to present a panel discussion on Friday 22 July, 5-6pm (BST) chaired by Katy Hessel (art historian and founder of The Great Women Artists) featuring artists Kenturah Davis, Genevieve Gaignard, Deborah Roberts and Amy Sherald.

Rothenstein’s enigmatic paintings are frequently characterised by a dreamlike quality. Mysterious figures often populate her flattened landscapes and interiors.

The Summer Exhibition 2021 features 1,300 works selected by coordinator Yinka Shonibare CBE RA and a panel of artists, under the theme of ‘Reclaiming Magic’. The presentation includes ‘Leap of Faith’ by Anne Rothenstein, on display in Gallery III. 

'Body and Soul' includes 13 academicians whose use of the human body is an important aspect of their practice. The show displays paintings, drawings, printmaking, ceramics, bronze casting and wood carving.

Drawn to each other’s work, 'Anglo-Russian Dictionary' is the first joint show by Anne Rothenstein and Irina Zatulovskaya, straddling Russian and British culture. The uniting theme is literature and the challenge of exact translation from one culture to another. 

The RWA's renowned Annual Open Exhibition returns for its 166th year with a showcase of work from emerging and established artists. The exhibition includes 'Flood' by Anne Rothenstein. 

Grayson Perry RA coordinates the biggest, brightest and most colourful Summer Exhibition yet in celebration of the Royal Academy’s 250th anniversary. The presentation includes 'Interior with Two Figures' by Anne Rothenstein.
