'A Superlative Palette' brings together the work of twelve contemporary Black women artists from around the world.

'In Brillaint Light' showcases contemporary works by African artists alongside masteprieces from the museum's collection.

Previously exhibited at the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, 'Kehinde Wiley: An Archaeology of Silence' is on show at de Young, San Francisco. For this new body of work, Wiley sheds light on the brutalities of American and global colonial pasts using the language of the fallen hero.

To celebrate Museum Jumex's 10 year anniversary, the museum has invited Lisa Phillips, the Director of the New Museum in New York, to curate an exhibition from the collection occupying the entire building. 

Curated by curator Freya Chou, writer and editor Brian Kuan Wood, and curator Reem Shadid, this year’s iteration of Taipei Biennial will bring together over 50 international and local artists and musicians, transforming the museum into a space of listening, gathering, improvising, and exploring alternative ways to perceive and apply what we learned from the recent pandemic.

The artist, Caroline Coon, was part of the early Punk scene and the author of one of the first books on Punk, '1988: The New Wave Punk Rock Explosion' (1977). Her photographs are an important, intimate record of its heady early days.

Hulda Guzmán's 'The Haircut' is on view at the Artspace Project Wall. Initiated by Kansas City Art Institute, the Project Wall is an ongoing site for temporary public art projects by contemporary artists.

Clare Woods was commissioned by the Contemporary Art Society to create a ceramic mural for the Olympic Park, London, in 2012.

Over the dark winter nights, the Southbank Centre site is illuminated by outdoor artworks that play with light and colour. Each featured artist uses light and colour in playful ways whilst exploring ideas of individual and collective identity, the environment and technology.

In this exhibition, Stephan Balkenhol presents sculptures of selected figures from the Old Masters collection of Museum Wiesbaden.

Art, Activism and the Women’s movement in the UK 1970–1990. This exhibition is the first of its kind – a major survey of work by over 100 women artists working in the UK from 1970 to 1990. Through their creative practices, women’s liberation was forged against the backdrop of extreme social, economic and political change.

Clare Woods designed a large scale, site-specific, watercolour mural for River Bend, a re-development project in the Design District of Dallas, Texas.

'Contested Bodies' brings together work by more than 40 artists from across the gender spectrum.  The exhibition understands that gender is socially constructed and performed. It is not an innate aspect of someone’s identity. The presentation attempts to create a space where each artist has the freedom and power to perform gender in a way that feels right to them.

'Forest of Dreams: Contemporary Tree Sculpture' offers unexpected visions of these remarkable organisms, showcasing trees in all their power, beauty, strangeness, and glory.

Artist Caroline Walker will be in conversation with one of Denmark’s leading contemporary novelists, Olga Ravn. In their conversation they will explore motherhood, narrative, self-care and how this manifests in their creative practices.
