‘Dear Christine’ aims to reclaim and reframe Christine Keeler (1942-2017), a woman castigated for her role in the notorious 'Profumo affair' in the 1960s. The presentation comprises painting, ceramics, sculpture, music, film, photography, poetry, performance, artist talks and workshops.
Titled ‘May You Live In Interesting Times’, the 58th Venice Biennale features 89 National Participations in the historic Pavilions at the Giardini, the Arsenale and the historic city centre of Venice. The Dominican Republic exhibits for the first time at the Biennale Arte with its own national pavilion, featuring artists Rita Bertrecchi, Marraffa & Casciotti, Hulda Guzmán, Dario Oleaga, Nicola Pica, Miguel Ramirez, Ezequiel Taveras and Julio Valdez.
