Featuring fifty-one artworks by thirty-six prominent artists, group exhibition ‘51 @ 51’ is rennie museum’s final presentation in the historic Wing Sang building. Breaking the museum’s self-imposed rule of not titling its shows, ‘51 @ 51’ references the number of artworks in the exhibition as well as the address of the museum, 51 East Pender Street.

This exhibition unites almost a century of work by 49 women and non-binary artists in a range of media drawn exclusively from the Hirshhorn’s permanent collection.

'Who tells a tale adds a tail: Latin America and contemporary art' highlights the work of 19 contemporary artists connected to Latin America. The exhibition demonstrates the ways in which ideas of storytelling and dialogue are essential to contemporary art practice.

‘Wind Sculpture in Bronze I’ by Yinka Shonibare CBE RA is the third permanent sculpture presented to Royal Djurgården by Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland's cultural foundation. The two metre sculpture, rendered in steel and fibreglass, captures the shifting movement of wind passing through Shonibare's signature Dutch wax batik fabric on a dramatic scale.
