Presenting works from the collection of Pamela and David Hornik, 'Some Dogs Go To Dallas' is the second iteration of an exhibition curated by PJ Gubatina Policarpio in 2023 exploring artworks depicting dogs. Unique in their expressive empathy and proximity to humanness, dogs have long managed to find their way into the art world—both as companions and as muses. Whether a best friend, a family member, a confidante, or a partner in crime, the bonds between humans and dogs represent a pure love that exemplifies the very best of human existence. In celebrating these connections, we may think of our own dogs, past and present, who have shaped the ways we see and interact with the world today.
