'The Festival: Between Representation and Revolt' explores the possibility for change vested in an organised gathering. It explores the idea of a festival as both a manifestation of societal and artistic movements, and the prompting of future cultural shifts. The exhibition encompasses religious and political gatherings, private celebrations, arts festivals and the taboos of each; ranging from the enlightenment to the present day.

Featured contemporary artists include Gelatin, Helmut Lang, Michèle Pagel, Astro Polygon, Yinka Shonibare CBE RA and Herwig Weiser.
