Yinka Shonibare CBE RA features in 'Trace'

'Trace: Formations of Likeness' is a collaboration with The Walther Collection, Neu-Ulm and New York, to survey photography and video, both contemporary and historical, reflecting on the divergent trajectories of photography today. A diverse group of artists are collected to explore the tool of photography as a means of empowerment and the formation of self identity, as well as one of control and subjugation. 

The group exhibition focuses on portrait photography, employed to trace societal transformation across geographic spaces and contrasting socio-political and cultural landscapes. Artists featured include Zhang Huan, Zanele Muholi, Yinka Shonibare CBE RA and Ai Weiwei.
