Kendell Geers is featured in 'Home is where the Art is'
'Home is where the art is' explores the concept of art collection; from how works are brought together to how they interact with their surroundings, and in turn what this can communicate about the collector and the viewer. A broad mix of abstract and figurative works are on display, by artists including Bram Bogart, Marlene Dumas, Kendell Geers and Yoshitomo Nara, selected from the collection Johan Poort and Manon Visser.
In exhibiting a previously private collection, the group show guides visitors along the train of thought of the collector, and explores what an art collection can mean on a personal level. It opens a discussion about personal relationships to art: How can one's taste be developed? How can you give art a new, personal layer of meaning?
