Tomasello and Espinosa. Around the Square is a two-person exhibition at Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires (MACBA), Buenos Aires, Argentina. The exhibition brings together for the first time works by Argentine artists Manuel Espinosa (1912 - 2006) and Luis Tomasello (1915 - 2014).
The exhibition explores how the two artists use the geometric form of the square as a fundamental compositional tool in their shared investigation of colour and form. By presenting the artists in dialogue, the exhibition highlights the importance of Latin American kinetic art and reveals the foundations of its international significance.
The exhibition is curated by Ayelén Vázquez and Joaquín Almeida and draws together works from Colección Espinosa and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Latinoamericano (MACLA).
