Artist Caroline Walker discusses her exhibition ‘Birth Reflections’ with author and broadcaster Hettie Judah. This baby-friendly discussion explores the subjects of motherhood, pregnancy, birth, and the spaces we encounter during this journey. The event has a soft start at 11:00 with an opportunity to explore the exhibition before the talk begins at 11:30am. A buggy park area is provided, as well as space to feed and change babies. Attendees are welcome to come and go during the conversation as much as needed.
Hettie Judah is a senior art critic on the British daily paper The i, and contributor to Frieze, The Guardian, Vogue, The New York Times, Art Quarterly, Art Monthly, ArtReview and other publications with ‘art’ in the title. Her recent essays have appeared in a new monograph on the John Moores Prizewinning painter Jacqui Hallum (Anomie, 2021), Procreate Project’s publication celebrating the Mother Art Prize, the Freelands Foundation’s report on the Representation of Female Artists in Britain During 2019, and in A Woman’s Work, on the video work of Katrina Neiburga.
