Kendell Geers is included in 'Statements'
Coinciding with the contemporary art festival ‘ARTDATE’, The Blank presents ‘Statements’, an exhibition of new works created in response to the shared experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic. The artist’s ‘statements’ in visual or textual form are situated in Palazzo della Ragione, Bergamo – a city that became a symbol for the battle against the virus. Each work is prominently displayed in isolation on the balcony of the historic Palazzo della Ragione before appearing collectively inside the palace.
Artists featured include: Cory Arcangel, John Armleder, Ed Atkins, Elmgreen & Dragset, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg, Cao Fei, Regina José Galindo, Ryan Gander, Kendell Geers, Shilpa Gupta, Alfredo Jaar, Emily Jacir, Luigi Ontani, Yan Pei Ming, Diego Perrone, Jack Pierson, Paola Pivi, Pipilotti Rist, Pamela Rosenkranz, Marinella Senatore, Cally Spooner, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Goran Trbuljak, Nora Turato, Francesco Vezzoli and Lawrence Weiner.
Each work will be included in a limited-edition catalogue with a print-run of 250 copies, published by The Blank Edition.
