'Claire Barclay: Deep Spoils’
Mission Gallery, Swansea, Wales
The sculptural forms that inhabit Mission Gallery reflect the city's industrial heritage, embodying evidence of the labour and skill from the bygone local coal, copper and pottery industries. Claire Barclay has described her site-specific installations as a ‘pause in an ongoing process'; the installation at Mission Gallery connecting to work she made recently at Tramway and Kelvin Hall for Glasgow International.
