Holly Hendry is included in 'Las Palmas: Apofenia' Chain reaction
'Las Palmas: Apofenia' is part of 'Chain reaction', an ongoing collaboration between Fidelidade Arte and Culturgest, Porto where the exhibition travels in spring 2021. Amongst the works on display are new sculptures by Holly Hendry that were created for 'Busy Bodies', the British artist's solo project for Frieze London 2020.
Each project conceived for 'Chain reaction' typically begins with an invitation to an artist from the curator of Culturgest to design an artwork or exhibition for display at each institution. Departing from the standard format of the series, this new show is born out of the exhibition space 'Las Palmas'. The project was founded by artists Aires de Gameiro, Hugo Gomes, Nuno Ferreira and Pedro Cabrita Paiva in 2017 with the aim of providing opportunities to show experimental contemporary art.
Featured in this new exhibition at Las Palmas are works by artists including Aires de Gameiro, Arno Beck, Catherine Telford-Keogh, Eduardo Fonseca e Silva, Francisca Valador, Holly Hendry, Hugo Brazão, Jason Dodge, José Taborda, Lito Kattou, Maria Miguel von Hafe, Nuno Ferreira, Pedro Cabrita Paiva, Primeira Disord, Rowena Harris and Stefan Klein.
