Animation by David Shrigley features in 'A Museum for All, a Museum for Dogs'

National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), Korea, Seoul South Korea

'A Museum for All, a Museum for Dogs' is a group exhibition at MMCA that invites dogs to visit the Museum alongside their human companions. By introducing our canine friends into a highly anthropocentric and symbolic space, the exhibition explores the meaning of companionship in contemporary society, our attitude towards the Other and the limits of tolerance in a Museum context and other public spaces.

This project is part of a programme of exhibitions, performances, screenings and talks on the themes of relationships and the concept of 'nature-culture'. Included in the exhibition is David Shrigley's characteristically playful animation, 'Hello There', which was created to coincide with the release of the British artist's book 'How are you Feeling?' in 2012. Other artists featured in the exhibition include Gwon Doyeon, Kim Kyung Jae, Kim Sejin, Kim Yongkwan, Demelza Kooij, David Claerbout, Beate Gutschow, Ellie Kyungran Heo, Smooth Yoo, Jung Yeondoo, Jogakscout, Hanne Nielsen & Birgit Johnsen, Kim Jungsun x Kim Jaelee, Nam Hwayeon, diana band, Park Bona, Yangachi, Anri Sala, Derek Jarman and Jean-Luc Godard.
