Bringing together 200 artworks from international museums and collections, Mirrors – The Reflected Self explores how the idea of the mirror has been used throughout art history, from classical Greece to the present day.
Spanning eight thousand years, the exhibition reveals how the mirror has been used for purposes as varied as promoting self-awareness and contemplation, warning against vanity or appreciating beauty, as a tool for mysticism and magic, and for social media profiles today.
