Caroline Walker releases a print in collaboration with Hospital Rooms
This International Women's Day Caroline Walker releases a limited edition print in collaboration with Hospital Rooms.
Hospital Rooms are a charity that transform NHS mental health services with contemporary art, installing artwork in hospitals and medical facilities across the UK. Sales of the print will contribute to this important work. Hospital Rooms say, "Caroline’s work brings visibility to often-overlooked narratives of care, strength, and resilience, perfectly aligning with our mission to bring art, creativity, and dignity to mental health settings."
Walker's paintings reveal the diverse social, cultural and economic experiences of women living in contemporary society. Drawing on her own photographic source material, Walker provides a unique window into the everyday lives of women. Blurring the boundary between objectivity and lived experience, the artist highlights often overlooked jobs performed by women and the psychologically charged spaces they inhabit.
The print will be avaialble on Saturday 8 March.
