Yooyun Yang features in 'Anxieties, when Shared'
Anxieties, when Shared explores the 'anxiety' that permeates our daily lives and society. The group exhibition features work created over the past five years by nine contemporary artists, born between 1981 and 1994, spanning various genres including painting, photography, sculpture, video, sound installations, and performances.
As young artists who have collectively experienced the pandemic and the peculiarities of Korean society, their work explores ideas of anxiety, and presents ways to confront it, by turns both witty and sincere. Anxieties, when Shared aims to encourage visitors, living in an age of anxiety, to reflect on their emotions, and to offer a kind of solace through its works.
Participating artists include Yooyun Yang, Miru Kim, Jiyeong Kim (Baekgu), Youjin Do, Darae Baek, Jungkyun Shin, Yeeun Lee, Wonwoo Lee and Juhyun Cho.
