Stephen Friedman Gallery presents Dominican artist Hulda Guzmán's first solo exhibition in the UK. ‘Meet Me in The Forest’ brings together a body of vibrant new paintings centred on her immediate surroundings in Samaná. 

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present its second solo exhibition by Venezuelan artist Juan Araujo. This new body of paintings follows a major solo installation at Art Basel Unlimited in September 2021. 

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present ‘Trôpego Trópico’, a new series by Brazilian artist Rivane Neuenschwander comprising ten paintings on black paper. Informed by the history of Latin American conceptualism, Neuenschwander creates experimental works using fragile and unassuming media. 

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present its first solo exhibition with British artist Holly Hendry. Exploring the idiosyncrasies of the human body, Hendry’s sculptures and installations take formal inspiration from machinery and diagrammatic depictions of anatomy. Expanded casting methods are central to the artist’s process in which she uses an array of materials like steel, Jesmonite, silicone, ash, charcoal, lipstick, chewed gum, soap, foam, marble and grit. Her new work challenges our perception of the neat distinction between our physical bodies, emotions and mechanisation.

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present its first solo exhibition by British artist Sarah Ball. Demonstrating an acute sensitivity to the psyche of her subjects, Ball’s enigmatic portraits explore the way we project images of ourselves to the world. The show is accompanied by a new monograph that spans the last five years of the artist’s practice, featuring essays by Flavia Frigeri (curator, National Portrait Gallery, London) and Philomena Epps (writer).

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present David Shrigley’s eighth solo exhibition at the gallery, marking a long and fruitful collaboration spanning over two decades.

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present a third solo exhibition by pioneering Japanese artist Jiro Takamatsu opening on 17 September 2021. This presentation examines a body of work from the early 1970s, a fertile period of Takamatsu’s practice, and is on view during Frieze London.

American artist Marina Adams presents the second instalment of her two-part exhibition at Stephen Friedman Gallery on 17 September 2021. ‘Wild Is Its Own Way’ focuses on new and recent large-scale paintings created over the last two years. Expansive in scale, Adams’ work explores colour, form and movement in a bold unabashed fashion. This presentation of Adams’ paintings will continue during Frieze London and until 30 October 2021. This project follows Adams’ highly acclaimed solo exhibition at Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Dallas, Texas in autumn 2020.

Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new works by Swedish artists Mamma Andersson and Andreas Eriksson. The two-person show will open on Tuesday 6 July at 107 S-chanf, Switzerland and run until Sunday 29 August. The presentation comprises paintings, tapestries and works on paper by two artists renowned for their fascination with landscape and nature.
