Stephen Friedman Gallery is proud to announce its participation in Art Basel 2016, stand L11.
Figuration is the focus of one part of the stand featuring all new works including; an animation by Tom Friedman, 'Portrait of Anthony Wheatley' by Kehinde Wiley, a new painting by Yoshitomo Nara, three shadow paintings by Jiro Takamatsu direct from the Estate, and 'Once' by Huma Bhabha, a sculpture rendered in clay, styrofoam and marble.
In contrast, a large-scale stitched work by Jim Hodges roots the other section, which includes new paintings by Andreas Eriksson, Wayne Gonzales and Luiz Zerbini.
Vernissage is Wednesday 15 June, 3pm to 8pm.
The private view days are Monday 13 June, 4pm to 7pm, Tuesday 14 June, 11am to 8pm, and Wednesday 15 June, 11am to 3pm.
