Yooyun Yang participates in 'Secret 7"'

'Secret 7"' is an anonymous charity record sale that benefits War Child, a specialist organisation for children affected by conflict. Seven songs are pressed in a limited edition run of 100 7" vinyl records, with sleeves by artists from around the world. Displayed at NOW Gallery, these are then auctioned anonymously.

Yooyun Yang is among the artists who have designed record sleeves. Her work, 'Sixousie and the Banshees Lullaby' bears Yang's characteristic hazy, cinematic quality: the subject surfaces in layers of diluted acrylic. Speaking of her paintings, Yang has said ‘I want my works to be like a thorn in your mind that pricks from time to time, or like a very gentle fever.’
